Rooted in Purpose
“I came that they may have life and have it more abundantly.” — John 10:10
With your help, this vision becomes a reality..
We serve students in grades 5–8 a critical stage when choices can shape their entire future. Yet, too many lacks reliable access to safe, inspiring spaces after school. Our greatest needs are sustainable funding, a secure location, and reliable transportation to bring them here. With your support, we can fill that space with our culturally relevant stories, real-world application skills, and mentors who believe in their potential to help plant seeds of purpose that grow into confident leaders and change-makers.
Reaching the students in grades 5-8 is what this program was designed for, but this is our greatest challenge. This is also a critical stage of development, when choices, influences, and opportunities can define a young person’s path. Yet, during out-of-school hours, many parents struggle to find safe, inspiring, and skill-building programs and environments for their children.
To meet this need, we must overcome three additional barriers: sustainable funding, a secure and welcoming location, and reliable transportation. We say transportation because even with every other element in place, the question remains how do we ensure students can get to the very space where seeds of purpose are being planted, nurtured, and grown into futures filled with possibility? Also, transportation is essential for many of our civic and field experience opportunities.
When these barriers are removed, students step into a safe and welcoming space every day after school and during the summer, a space filled with culturally relevant stories that reflect their experiences, mentors who believe in their potential, hands-on activities that build both academic and life skills and applicable experiences that prepares them for the real world. Parents gain peace of mind knowing their children are not only safe, but thriving reading with confidence, making wise decisions, and learning how to build and manage resources for their future. With reliable transportation, consistent funding, and a secure location, we can plant seeds of purpose in every student we serve: seeds that will grow into leaders, innovators, and change-makers in our community.
Your investment makes this transformation possible.
