A Foundation of Children United to Succeed, Inc. (F.O.C.U.S.) is proud to introduce our Mobile Achievement Center an access-based learning initiative designed to remove barriers and bring high-quality academic support directly to students.

Every child deserves access to EFFECTIVE learning opportunities that help them succeed academically, grow with confidence and be PREPARED and PRODUCTIVE citizens.
Our Mobile Achievement Center exists to:
Remove barriers by going beyond the mortar of the typical classroom. Expand Learning Opportunities. Empower Futures.

The F.O.C.U.S. Mobile Achievement Center is a traveling hub where Words shape leaders, Wisdom guides choices, and Wealth builds futures through the integrated programs of The Literacy Blueprint.

Through Words, Wisdom & Wealth, students learn to communicate with confidence, lead with character, and build financial responsibility using programs like "Be The Lender, Not The Borrower".

Our mobile classroom brings the full Literacy Blueprint to the community—strengthening reading, wise decision-making, and economic understanding while preparing older youth for careers through The H.Y.R.E.D. Blueprint.

Your financial support fuels every part of our mission. Donations help provide instruction, technology access, mentoring, and the growth of the F.O.C.U.S. Mobile Achievement Center.
Contributions can be one-time gifts, monthly partnerships, or sponsorships.

My name is Jarvoan, and I joined the F.O.C.U.S. program when I was in the fifth grade back in 2018. At that time, reading was hard for me, and I often felt like I was behind other students. I needed extra support, and F.O.C.U.S. gave me that help outside of the walls of the regular classroom. It was a place where I was able to take my time and they worked with me at my own pace.
As I started to improve, I began to feel more confident in myself. There were moments when I was able to help my classmates with some of the same reading skills I had learned. That made me feel proud because I realized I wasn’t just a student who needed help, I could also be someone who helped others.
One experience that will always stay with me was participating in the Centennial celebration with the Mayor and the seniors who were over 100 years old. I remember greeting them with respect and honor, listening to their stories, and realizing how much wisdom they carried. Being part of that event taught me the importance of valuing elders and showing kindness to those who came before me. It helped shape the way I see people and the way I treat others today.
Being part of the program helped me grow in character, too. I always looked forward to Distinguished Gentlemen Days when we wore our shirts and ties. Putting on that tie made me feel important and reminded me that I could become something great if I stayed focused and respectful.
Today, I am a high school graduate and I am attending Virginia State University studying to become an electrician. When I look back, I know that the F.O.C.U.S. program played a big role in shaping who I am. It gave me confidence, direction, and people who believed in me when I didn’t always believe in myself.
Because of F.O.C.U.S., I can truly say I am living proof of what it means to keep moving forward and to believe in myself. I believe that there is a future of hope and possibilities for me and I now carry that same hope into my education, my career, and my life.

My name is Jontae, and I became part of the F.O.C.U.S. program when I was in the fifth grade. Back then, reading was a real challenge for me, and I didn’t always feel confident in school. F.O.C.U.S. gave me a place to learn outside of the walls of the typical classroom, where I could get the extra help I needed without feeling embarrassed or rushed.
Even after I left elementary school, the program didn’t leave me. I continued to receive support during my first two years of middle school, and I would often come back to visit and stay connected. F.O.C.U.S. felt like family, and Dr. Johnson truly cared about my success.
One of my favorite memories was being part of the Distinguished Gentlemen’s program. I especially remember the day when all of us young men wore our shirts and ties and helped serve the fathers who came to the school to support their children. That day meant a lot to me because it taught me respect, responsibility, and how to carry myself with pride. It showed me what it looks like to be a young man of character.
F.O.C.U.S. helped me believe that I could do more than I thought I could. It pushed me to keep trying even when things were hard. I went on to graduate from high school, and today I am blessed to have a good job working with Dominion Power. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I know the support and lessons I received through the program played a big part in my journey.
